i'm really sorry but i couldn't kill the idea

The chandelier hits the floor in a loud crash and the room springs into motion.

Jongdae sprints out of Joonmyeons’ arms and into Chanyeols’. If any reluctance shows on his face no one calls him out on it.

Sehun and Baekhyun simultaneously grab for the wand, but Sehun is ten feet too far to get it. His arm is outstretched but limp, so Baekhyun scrambles for the wand alone and sprints back to Jongdae and Chanyeol. He holds out the wand as if considering attacking Sehun, but he considers the apathetic expression on Sehun’s face and hesitates. Sehun puts both of his hands up in a sort of half-assed surrender and Baekhyun awkwardly lets his arm fall to his side and slides next to Yixing.

Yixing looks around, first at Chanyeol and Jongdae beside him, and then at Joonmyeon across the room. His expression is pleasant, hands clasped in front of him, until his eyes drift somewhere behind Joonmyeon, seemingly staring at nothing.

“You stupid elf!” Joonmyeon cries, horrified. “You could’ve killed me! And you broke the chandelier.” He stares at the ruined mess of glass and metal on the ground, mouth wide open in a ghastly and unattractive way.

Doppar looks thoroughly unimpressed and slightly irritated. “I,” he pauses. “Doppar missed. My bad. You could move back and we could try it again.”

Kris lifts his wand in a grand show revealing his incredible arm length. It’s flashy and a tad bit awkward, which Doppar is having none of. Doppar snatches the wand out of his hand with a snap, letting it drop to the ground and wiping his hand off on his bare stomach.

Joonmyeon's gasp echoes in the room. “How dare you take Wu Yifans wand! How dare you take your leader’s wand!”

“I go by Kris now,” Kris whispers, mostly to himself.

“He’s not my leader,” Doppar says slowly. “You are.”

Chanyeol coughs and lets out something that sounds suspiciously like "awkward" behind his hand.

“And I, I mean Doppar came to get…them.” Doppar lets out a big sigh and holds out his arms. Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Jongdae all grab onto Doppar while Yixing stares at the same spot behind Joonmyeon. Jongdae grabs his arm and puts it on Doppar as the air in front of them begins to swirl.

Yixing frowns. “Guys I think I see Luha-“

Luhan springs out from behind Joonmyeon, eyes wide and manic. He throws a dagger at the swirling air with his right hand. His left hand is clasped around Minseok’s wrist.

Baekhyun spits out a mouthful of wet sand and springs to his feet. “Jongdae,” he croaks. “You’re okay now, we’re all safe.”

Jongdae is in Chanyeol’s lap, their faces dangerously close, but Baekhyun envelopes them in a hug anyway.

“Yah, Byun Baek,” Doppar calls weakly. A bloody knife falls from his hands.

Baekhyun stands up again, still out of breath, and runs over to Doppar. “Kyung, I mean Doppar,” he says.
Doppar takes a few steps before turning around slowly and letting himself fall onto Baekhyun’s lap. He winces when Baekhyun’s knee collides with his back. “We should have something for you,” Baekhyun tells him. “Jongdae, Jongdae do you have anything? Do you have your bag?”

Jongdae blinks. “Did you think I brought my bag?”

Baekhyun brings up a fist and mouths the words ‘Do you want to die?’ to him. Chanyeol snorts.

“I’m a happy elf,” Doppar says suddenly. His frown says otherwise, but they all look the other way. “I’m, ah, happy I could be with my friends till the end.” He abruptly closes his eyes and stops breathing.

Jongin appears out of nowhere and crouches beside Baekhyun. “You should close his eyes,” Jongin says. Baekhyun looks from Jongin to Doppar. Jongin looks from Baekhyun to Doppar. “You should close his nose,” he amends with a grin. He reaches over and pinches Doppar’s nose shut, bursting into laughter as Doppar gets up suddenly swatting Jongin’s hand away.

Baekhyun runs over to Jongdae and attempts to drag him in the sea. “Do you think I thought you had your bag with you?” he yells.

“Is this what you wanted?” Sehun drapes himself over Tao’s shoulders, looking at the back of the camera.

Tao smiles and wipes a tear from his eye. “It’s perfect,” he breathes.
