Zitao didn't want to be there.

In fact, being as far away from the pinkest dress store in existence and instead safe in his bed or annoying one of his roommates sounded like the perfect situation. But no. He simply had to make that stupid bet with Jongdae. Baekhyun warned him about Jongdae when it came to bets, that he once had to do five back flips naked, but he was so sure that Sehun would beat Chanyeol in video games that he let it get the best of him.

Jongdae hummed and drew Zitao from his thoughts.
"See, this one isn't so bad!" His face beamed as he flattened down a glittering yellow dress on Zitao's chest. The chest was mostly bare, save for the small sequins that were thrown about, growing more frequent as it led to the pale, fabric roses that acted as a pseudo belt and a form fitting skirt that looked like it should have gone down to someone's mid-calf, yet it only went down to Zitao's knee.
"This really isn't-"
"Nah. You're right, yellow isn't really your color." Jongdae quickly turned away from him and placed the article of clothing back on the rack, letting his finger glide across the necklines of other dresses both similar and completely different with a smile lingering on his face. Zitao huffed and plopped down on the small stool in the midst of all the dresses. He eyed Jongdae, who was pulling out a dress every so often and angling it at Zitao, squinting one eye and shaking his head when he decided that he didn't like it anymore. A purple one here, a black one with red stripes, even the brightest pink Zitao's ever seen and as much frill that was possibly allowed on a single dress.
Zitao had the feeling they were going to be there for a long time.


Jongdae returned to him when he was in the middle of rage texting Sehun with only one dress on his arm and a content, smug look on his face. With eager hands he proudly displayed the dress to Zitao who's face almost automatically fell at the first glance.
"Are you... serious?"
"What? You always wear black, anyways."
Jongdae twirled it in his hand, looking down at it with bright eyes. The dress was, in fact, black, but it was adorned with white lacing along the edges and a rounded collar and shoulders so narrow that no one with shoulders as broad as Zitao's would even think of trying the dress on.
It almost looks like-
"A maid's outfit?"
"Who knew, right? I thought you could only find things like this online. I mean, there's no apron but I'm sure I have something laying around that would work..."
"Are you saying you have a dress like this at home?"
"What? No. Sehun asked for an apron once but didn't didn't like what I got him so it's probably in a closet somewhere."
Zitao rubbed his forehead and sighed. "What have I done to deserve this?"
"Act like Sehun was any good at fighting games."
