idk maybe it’s just from an ifan’s perspective, but it feels less stressful than when the bs left. partly because we’ve been through so much before, partly because ifans for the most part have a united front (with the bs lines were drawn between supporting the bs/being against sm/supporting opgers).

i’m just hoping this all blows over after the kfans settle down or leave fandom for good

i more or less feel the same as ayrt but i can see what you're saying. for me the difference is that we can't see immediate consequences now, the true impact will be shown after the baby is born. on top of that i think whats making me more wary is that i'm a chen stan so i'm worried about the course his career is going to take now, but as far as exo as a group goes i don't think it's as bad as 2014 true.

yeah exactly... i hope i'm overreacting but 'idol who knocked up his wife without planning to then left for two years of enlistment' is not a very endearing image, whether within fandom or to the general public, plus he'll inevitably have the father image tacked on once he comes back. I can't think of how he'll manage to reconcile all that while being an idol, unless he fully leaves it behind (which I don't want him to do) and becomes, idk, a radio host or non-idol singer. can either of those even properly make money?

idk again i'm possibly overreacting, i just have to say that to me all roads lead to rome, with rome here being a career that doesn't include sm giving him any more albums.
