do you think M would've worked with only chinese members, or would that have made the two groups seem even more separate and disconnected?

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
even more separate i think. idk, i was pretty annoyed that there were koreans in the chinese group at first but having koreans in the chinese groups makes me feel less...annoyed at the korean group? if that makes sense ;;

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
why would you be annoyed at the korean group in the first place

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
idk, irrational irritation? i was looking forward to fluent chinese in all the songs but clearly i forgot i was dealing with SM

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
feel less annoyed at the korean group? what do you mean?

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
it made me give them more of a chance because it reminded me that this is still a korean group even if all my favs are chinese, it's still ultimately kpop, and they're there to stay. on the other hand, if it'd been only chinese members in m, i could safely ignore k and pretty much never have to be reminded of them? idk at the time i was basically out of kpop and wanted nothing to do with it tbh!

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
it probably would have made them more disconnected, but it would also give them a much better chance to make big in china. with korean members, they will also be the half chinese/half korean group, and we all know many ppl don't like that.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
there's a chinese boyband called top combine that has a korean member too! it used to be 1/4, now it's 1/3 korean/chinese. so idk, they're pretty popular.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
WHAT i didn't know this, who's korean in top combine?

oh i didn't know that! that makes me more optimistic about m's future there :)

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah ia it would've been much better for M's success as an independent group :/ but lsm really wants to push ~his culture~ right, so i guess he really wants to keep some ties in

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
even more separate and disconnected, yes. but te koreans in m aren't even that close with k lol :(

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
+1

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah it's weird bc the chinese members seem like pretty good friends w/ the koreans so technically it shouldn't matter, but then if you imagine a chinese-only M it seems... like there'd be a divide...

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
da but going with that train of thought it's nat as if the koreans in M are the ones who are like ~the bridges~ of the two groups i mean lbr

it would have made them seem more disconnected, unless an explicit chinese-korean brotherhood theme was thrown into the pr line. but i don't think sme would ever make a chinese-only group in the first place.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
idk i've heard that M is a ~breaker group, it's likely they may debut a chinese-only (or only 1 korean member) group just for china if the mainland idol market develops the way they want it to

jw, why do you think so? with their ambition to break into the chinese market, wouldn't it make sense to own group that is fully chinese (no langauge and cultural barrier with the audience at all) and is at the same time fully controlled by the company?

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
pls he's having fun acting in ridiculous dramas. can you imagine him with exo-m anyway.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-12 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
maybe he was supposed to be on exo-m but i think he was filming a drama when exo was preparing for debut. or maybe he really is just an actor.

idk i'd prefer an all chine m and an all koran k, makes sense to me
