i think chang is pretty aware of her flowery prose problems nonetheless? iirc ppl have critiqued her in PMs. zitaos i have no idea.

dda i think you should try to read the first few paragraphs of one chang fic. maybe anterograde tomorrow, to see whether the critique on her prose was warranted.

i will in a bit! but i'm not saying that critique isn't warranted, just that it'd be kind of sad if she changed the way she wrote because people told her to, esp. if she has fun writing a certain way

nah i think she's genuinely looking to improve her writing, so it's not so much a 'change to please the crowd', more making use of crit

i thought i didn't like zitaos but it's really exollent i don't like. not that zitaos is good but i don't think she's necessarily bad either.

the only discernable difference between them is that zitaos is too long-winded and exollent is not. i think zitaos' fic could use a little more oomph tho, sometimes her narration gets so boring.
