idk if i'm remembering correctly, but a while ago some people said something about...something...i can't really remember but i feel like it was along these lines

i don't like it when it's super forced. like that one infinite writer in her fic made all these super awkward references to like direct quotes from interviews that no person would realistically reference

yeah if you're subtle it's fine but "you're the one who ______" and stuff like that is awkward?

i think they mean to do it realistically and not in a contrived way. especially not when the reference is made just for the purpose of making the character recognizable.
