they tend to be super snobby about attending a private school even though name and prestige (while admittedly important) are not as important as grades and experience. you're not any better than anyone bc you attend a private school, it's so high school you know?
oh ig it's because some people act all high and mighty when you're paying more for school tuition -_- i'm not familiar with the education system in the country i just moved in but my mom said it's easier for my major to be in a private school though?
yeah exactly :( and as someone who never had the option of attending private school bc of money it sucks when people assume that your education is less valuable because it's cheaper when you could really get a good degree in certain fields at any uni. what's your potential major?
nursing lol i heard it's good to attend state unis but if i ever don't get into one, i'll probably end up in a private school. community colleges are not really recommended for my major which sucks bc the tuition is so much better there.
hmm from what i've heard from my nursing friends state schools are generally a good idea but there's lots of private universities with great programs, so you'll probably do great no matter where you go :) and ikr :(
ughh the difference ;; i want to cry bc in community colleges you can pay only 5k a year but for state schools it's around 20k. for private though... i don't even want to think about it /o\ where am i supposed to get money sigh
ugh i know ;~; i go to the cheapest public school in my state but my family still has a hard time making it bc i have another sister in school. but anyway i'm sure you can find scholarships and stuff? good luck anon ;;
i'm not really that smart... cries ;; my sister's also in college but she's in a private school and me and brother are going next year. it's going to be tough for my mom since she's the only one contributing in the family and she doesn't want us to work :( ty kind anon, i hope you do well in your studies ♥
da and as somebody who goes to a private college, i'm honestly really sorry this has been your experience with private school students. personally, i'm on financial aid/scholarship/work to help pay for my tuition, and i probably get irrationally pressed at well-off students here who are undervaluing their education. when i'm at home (my school's pretty far from my hometown) i'm actually kind of embarrassed to talk about where i go to school sometimes for that reason /o\
