sa but this, all of meme's taokai hatesex headcanon aside, taokai seem to get along more then fine, and are pretty friendly. tbh i worry about tao a bit, because it's been mentioned that tao finds himself to be not good-looking, and like idk that isn't a big deal, but i hope it's nothing really bad, because though he has a strong heart, he's a pretty sensitive kid. i hope the rest of exo take care of him well, and know when to stop the jokes.

and yeah kai doesn't seem selfloating to me, if anything he seems more fed-up with what ppl think his skin implies about him, and his a thoughtful kid so i think he knows that when some people call him dark/tanned etc. they aren't saying it as a compliment, and i've always gotten the impression that he doesn't like to be the butt of a joke, esp. not a rude one if he isn't part of it.

da but the first part that you said annoys me the most. the conversation always starts with the assumption that tao meant it from a purely negative standpoint and not as a general observation or something that the two of them had talked about in the past/an inside joke like the rest of the dumb shit he said that night. everyone immediately jumped to thinking that he either a) hates himself for being tan and was trying to deflect by saying that kai's darker or b)has an issue with being tan in general when he's never said anything to support either assumption. his comments about skin color have always been fairly neutral until anons decided to read into it. i think that kai has made it pretty obvious that he does have an issue w/ people pointing out his color but for all we know (which is nothing) it doesn't even stem from negative views about color and could be annoyance based on the fact that being sexy tan is one of his major selling points.
