oh i see what this is, but alright i'll play along
there's a lot of pros to learning an asian language such as mandarin, since it is a rapidly growing economy and china is predicted to be the leader of the business world in the few years so perhaps mandarin will be as crucial a language as english. to a lesser degree, japanese and korean because they're also big players in the economic scene.
but ofc we're talking about kpop which isn't srs bznz but really, 'fetish' or not does it matter? it's always useful to know another language which i'm sure will come in useful later on in life even if their reasons for learning it weren't ideal.
