my favourite film of 2011, cinematography, fantastic lead characters and actors, realistic dialogue as well as it's lowkey commentary on race and social class in britain, when i want to watch it in the cinema i was like 'lol what is this' and i left like 'gonna by this so fast when it comes out'

i know attack the block is as much monster movie as sci fi, but to me it's my favorite example of what modern sci fi can aspire to wrt social commentary. i love sci fi a whole lot and it lets me down so often, but attack the block felt so new, fresh, and at the same time is so solid and well crafted as a film

i have high hopes that the director can make me feel that way towards star trek again too, please don't disappoint me :\
