craigslist is the biggest american classifieds web site with different sites for different cities. there's a personals section and my favorite part is "missed connections" where people post about people they may have flirted with or thought were hot in their day to day life and didn't get their number/felt like there was a spark

idk some of them are really absurd and funny but i think it's also kind of romantic, that you would be into someone so much from a chance encounter that you'd post into the void on a web site which you have no idea will ever reach the recipient
