i'm sorry but this is the point of prelims, to sort out the kink in point system. i'm more wary of the mods being indecisive at this and letting this get dragged out this long. they should rectify as quickly as possible so we could all move on. tbh that's how it was during hgau, something was addressed and we moved on quickly bc there was no time to complain

the kai toop doesn't count because the base points for a toop comes from the # of pictures, which is a zero

0 (base points) x 1.5(for shape) x 1.5 (for fifa theme multiplier) = 0

you can multiply 0 (base points) by a million and it's still zero

i think that's where i get stuck too! i have a bunch of ideas but not the skill to execute them, and it's so frustrating. it feels like being a little kid again and not being able to vocalize your thoughts precisely. and i recognize that this problem is one that anyone with any creative interest has, because it's basically one of having taste that outpaces your abilities, BUT IT STILL SUCKS A WHOLE LOT

anyways i hope we both challenge ourselves in small meaningful ways during wcau! one of my friends said something the other day that someone had told her--to not punish herself for not being the writer someone else is. and i think that's good advice ♥ anon fighting

the point is if fanworks have to be related to an opger in order to get points, then maybe there should be some effort made to make them relevant, and that includes fanmixes
