da but then it's not really about the spirit of sharing/helping each other out? i guess one way to make the points closer together would be, in your example above teams lukai sharing their points with baektao to bring them up. but at the same time, for example team a above could have gotten their points evenly spread out around 30 without sharing anything at all so there's no teamwork involved then why should they get a bonus if it's about camaraderie?

Lesson 4: D is for Distraction (and Drugs)

Distractions are always useful in a mission. Just don’t get distracted.

Team A’s missions usually went like this: Jongdae and Chanyeol for distraction, and Yixing and Minseok for execution. There were only a handful of missions where they switched up the teams: most notably, drug deals and heists.

That was because of their first drug mission.

Their first drug-related mission was simple. All they had to do then was go to the club, look for the dealer (from a notorious gang they didn’t really have good relations with), take the drugs, and run.

Jongdae and Chanyeol were distracting the other members of the gang, while Minseok was serving as Yixing’s lookout. Yixing had entered the dealer’s chambers a while ago, and Minseok was starting to get worried. They always set a time limit so that one of them could jump in, just in case the other might be knocked out (or dead).

Jongdae was sending Minseok worried signals and Chanyeol kept talking into Minseok’s earpiece asking how much longer it was going to take.

Minseok was really starting to worry.

His earpiece beeped and Jongdae’s voice came flooding into his ear.

“What the fuck is taking you guys so long? I think they’re already starting to get suspicious with me and Chanyeol,” rambled Jongdae, “we can only entertain these guys for so long before they start going there and getting the drugs.”

His connection with Jongdae shut off, and Chanyeol’s (really loud) whisper came in.

“Hyung, please hurry up, boss is already waiting for us.”

“Gotcha. I’ll go get Yixing.”

“Thanks, man.”

Minseok turned and knocked on the door to the dealer’s room.

Huh. Strange. No one was answering. He was pretty sure he saw Yixing and the dealer go in here earlier.

A bad thought came up, and started to unease his nerves. Yixing couldn’t possibly be dead, right?

Maybe Yixing was just being too kind again, thought Minseok, after all, he did fail killing that one business man because he felt bad that the man lived alone.

Minseok pulled out his gun and put his back against the wall. In case Yixing was dead (and he hoped not) and the dealer was waiting for him inside, then he was going to have to be quick and shoot immediately. If Yixing was being held hostage, then Minseok had to act fast and put the dealer at gunpoint and negotiate.

Fuck the drugs, Minseok thought, just get Yixing out alive.

Minseok started counting down.

Three.

He moved to the edge of the doorway.

Two.

He faced the door and placed his foot up, ready to kick.

One.

Minseok kicked the door open and thrust his gun out in front of him, ready to shoot the dealer when—

“Heyyy,” Yixing’s voice floated over to him, “you’re finally here.”

Yixing had his arm around the dealer and they were laughing at Minseok’s pose (okay, maybe he had looked a little ridiculous).

“Come on overrr,” Yixing drawled, “we still got lots more to smoke…ahahaha.”

Minseok was confused and livid. Not a good combination.

“You fucker! Get up right now,” hissed Minseok. He grabbed Yixing, and the dealer just bent over, doubling in laughter.

“What’s your hurry man,” asked Yixing, eyes totally red and unfocused. He was going to regret this later.

“We’re going. Now,” Minseok ordered, and turned around, checking the entrance so they can make their escape. He signaled Chanyeol and Jongdae over their system, and he got two grunts in reply. He took that as a good sign and looked back at Yixing, who was sitting by the pile of drugs.

“Hyuuuuuung” whined Yixing, still completely out of it.

Minseok rolled his eyes, and replied, “Let’s go, and take the fucking drugs with you!”

Minseok snatched one of the bags, and put the other on Yixing, and seized Yixing. The dealer was starting to lose his buzz, so Minseok punched him for good measure.

They entered the hall and ran as fast as they could go.

Once they were in the backseat of the car, Jongdae and Chanyeol bombarded them with questions.

“Where the fuck were you guys?!”

“Do you know how much I paid for drinks to keep them talking?!”

“Do you know how much I drank?!”

“Do you know what Chanyeol’s like when he’s drunk?”

“What was taking you so long?”

Minseok shrugged in his seat, as Jongdae revved the engine, speeding away from the club.

“Ask Yixing.”

Jongdae and Chanyeol turned around from the front seats and looked at Yixing. Yixing just smiled and blinked back at them.

“Heyyy, you guys are so beautiful.”

“Fuck you.”
