where is this coming from? idt anons think it's bad to have a backbone but 1) if you're talking about anons who come in and try to stick up for specific people in the comments on meme it's kind of a futile exercise imo bc we're all supposed to be anons for a reason, ppl will think you're unanoning for attention, or think it's nagl esp if you're being very defensive, and 2) for me personally, depending on the situation, if the behavior being criticized is indefensible or deserves criticism in my mind then it's the stance i feel reflects badly on whoever's defending it because idt the behavior is defendable in the first place, if that makes sense lol

are you referring to my comment where i said team b might've not been performing to their potential? i said that not to discount any effort from team a bc they were really gj but because i know it's true that team b stans probably outnumbers team a and i know it's at least true that half of my team weren't there for round 2 and i was mostly replying to op statement of under what condition would team have performed differently. of course even then i do not think that team b would've had it easy during 2nd round becaouse team a nons put up a good fight and even outnumbered they'd probably be an absolute threat to team b.

also shades were thrown to both teams probably by shit strirrers mostly and they annoy me to death both team deserves better treatments but meme is a shit place.

very little of what meme wanks on, in terms of things actual anons do, is indefensible behavior. for example unanoning your own work or writing fic that anons don't think is good or being identifiable from the type of comments you make on meme

ok so you're talking about the anons that get hate on here? then ia with u that a lot of anons are really picky and extra about it. as someone who's gotten flack on this meme before, i think what anons are responding to above all is what they perceive to be attention-seeking behavior, either on or off meme. you can think that kind of mentality is wrong or right, but this is just a general observation that i've come to notice

since i wasn't sure what you were talking about in your op, my second comment was more in response to outside-of-meme fandom people that we wank on here, a lot of which i think is, if not at the very least deserved, then at least sensible discussion, because i think it's true that there's quite a bit of fandom behavior from translator bnfs and exchange mods and the like is pretty questionable, but it's clear to me now that that wasn't what you were talking about

hm i see what you're trying to say but i think most anons believe it to go against what an anonymous meme is supposed to be about. it's a place all anons can come to talk about exo (and off topic stuff) and be on equal footing. imo this is why whenever an anon becomes "named" the cult of personality starts up and people get pretty weird (both "positively" and "negatively") about them really fast. you can criticize that behavior for sure but that's been the culture of this meme (and most anon memes) since they first became popular in fandom
