Baekhyun drops to the floor, arms tired from lifting and moving boxes everywhere. It’s Christmas and he’s stuck moving his things from his old apartment to Minseok’s. His and Minseok’s. It’s been two years since the surgery and there are no signs of needing another one, and he’s forever grateful that his life has been going well so far.

Two years ago, he couldn’t even imagine being with Minseok, too caught up on not being with Chanyeol. But somehow, Minseok slowly moved his way into his heart, never pushing him into something he wasn’t ready for. He doesn’t understand why a quiet guy like Minseok would like someone as loud as him. He didn’t even complain when it took four months, not two weeks, to gain every bit of his memory back. It felt nice getting to know Minseok all over again and it’s no wonder he started to crush on him a second time after the surgery.

“Hey,” Minseok says as he drops a bottle of water onto Baekhyun’s stomach. He lets out a small oof before sitting up. “Tree’s done. Come and look.” Minseok helps Baekhyun off the floor and into the living where a beautiful Christmas tree stands. It’s covered in various ornaments, decorated with lights.

“It’s pretty. You did a good job.”

“Thanks. Now help me put the presents under the tree.”

“Alright. Next year I’m helping you with the tree,” Baekhyun says as he places Chanyeol and Yixing’s gifts right next to each other.

“Of course you are. You’re lucky you had to move in today or else you would have helped.”

“I know, but the landlord said I had to be moved out by the 26th or else all my stuff was going to be thrown out. I think he’s mad I didn’t renew my lease. Are you sure you’re okay with this? Us living together.” Baekhyun knows Minseok was the one to ask, but he’s still nervous about the whole thing, especially after saying he didn’t like living alone right before Minseok had asked. He doesn’t want Minseok letting him live with him because he’s scared to be by himself, but because Minseok actually wants him there.

“I wouldn’t have asked if I wasn’t.” Minseok moves to sit behind Baekhyun, wrapping his arms around him. “You know I love you. I want you here so stop worrying over nothing.” Baekhyun wonders how many times his heart can race over three simple words. He finds comfort in them, in Minseok’s embrace.

“I know. I love you too.” Baekhyun turns around to face Minseok, and gently cups him by the face. “I really do love you Minseok.” Baekhyun leans forward, starting a chaste kiss that becomes hungrier with each passing second. When Baekhyun’s back hits the floor he reaches up, caressing over Minseok’s cheek. “Want to make a wish of mine come true?” Baekhyun asks.

“What is it?” Minseok cocks an eyebrow.

“Sex by the Christmas tree.”

“They’ll be here in an hour. I want you longer than that.” Minseok’s words have Baekhyun blushing.

“Then suck me off by the Christmas tree? That’ll do for now right?” Minseok bends down to hover over Baekhyun.

“Yeah, it will.”
