i don't mean to complain moddir but 4 points for 1 min vid and 5 for 3 min? wouldn't it be better if it was 4 pts for 2min or even 5 pts for 2 min, that 2 min for just an added point is a bit weird because you can just make two 1 minute vids and get 8 points but one video of 3 min gets 5..

well, i think 25% is too small. let's say someone is a point ahead of you, the options you have are

make a work worth that point, and you're tied
make a work worth 2 points, you're ahead
make a work and go to the dark side, you're still behind

maybe 50% or 100% is a better choice? because less than a hundred just keeps you behind unless you can target opgers

ah, that makes sense. with that scenario, it does make sense to deduct 100% to at least tie with the other opger. but then i wonder if that would hurt the other opgers who are already behind

i'm not really sure because i don't really know how long vid makers take to make something /o\ i would say 2 min for 5 but you can't use like 2 min of the same footage? lol idk i just pointed it out because it seemed off to me

i'm not a vidnon either. hm. maybe i can just raise 4pts for 2 min, then 3.5min for 5pts, and add 3pts for 1min videos? does that sound reasonable? i'm going off the assumption that constructing a video would be considerably harder than making a small fanmix or a short recording

ahh. i see your point. i like the concept of deduction too but i didn't want to make it too powerful. i could change it to any of the ff: deduct 100% of that work's points from all other opgers, deduct 50% from all other opgers, deduct 100% from a specific opger, or deduct 100% but you have to choose 4 opgers to apply the deduction to, so that would at least mean 4 other opgers are safe.

if any anons have other ideas how to apply deductions or to do dark side, suggestions are really welcome!

da hi mod, i was wondering if you could lower the 3.5 minutes back to 3? because this way you can still earn 8 asteroids for two 2 minute videos and 5 for a 3.5 one, as a vidnon i would just make two vids for 8 asteroids and not bother with the 5 asteroids one lol
