yeah i only found out a couple of months ago, they were a lot less open about the progress of this film compared to the new trilogy lol. it's basically to kill time between ep vii and ep viii (while the han solo origin film will probably be the buffer between viii and ix) but hopefully they keep the quality up

yeah there's gonna be a han solo film. i'm kinda meh about it because a leia film would've been more new? like hers would've had the potential to be a political thriller with loads of worldbuilding and concerning the founding/running of the rebel alliance with her foster father, meanwhile han's is apparently how he went from orphan thief to possibly being in the imperial navy and from there to big time smuggler who pissed everyone off

yeah that is one of the things that the prequel trilogy got complaints about, but imo the prequels was watching why the jedi order floundered and everyone playing into palpatine's hands and knowing nothing was going to get better any time soon no matter how much political maneuvering there was u_u from what i've read of leia's backstory, it seemed more interesting and hopeful? haha and also i wanted to see her doing legit rebel missions while pretending she's just a naive princess on diplomatic mercy trips throughout the galaxy sigh
