the military isn’t some school trip lol. i have a feeling stans think it’s some sort of fun play for 2 years

even if they don’t want to enlist at the same time, they basically even have to fake it to wanting it cause of stans

da because men were using traveling as a way to dodge enlistment for as long as possible or all together. and schooling as well for delayed enlistment. they're trying to make sure everyone who is of age and in their later years serve since ther service could be shortened and potentially done away with altogether

it wouldn't be seen as fair that someone who delayed enlistment for as long as possible got to serve a shorter term. or if they do away with it, didn't have to serve at all when men around their age aleady got their service in. so now it seems like they want to get everyone in by age 28
