hey anon sorry for getting back to u so late! i'm really enjoying the drama so far. i love most crown prince iterations, so seeing doppar's has been a treat. the long lost love/soulmate trope is one of my favs and they're playing it out so well through all the little details (like planting the cherry blossoms in her home). i love the setup of the drama in the first ep where they gave they background of the two and saw how they ended up liking each other, what characteristics of hers he fell for, bc throughout the years she still maintained those-headstrong, doesn't take anyone's shit, good heart and works to help the people. these characteristics would make her an amazing crown princess and despite her living conditions you can still see these traits shine through and that she's still royalty, cut from a different cloth (when she mentioned mencius to her friend but the friend didn't know who that was lol). i'm also a sucker for angst and they've delivered that with how these two are literally standing right in front of e/o but don't know who one another is! it hurts when he looks at her and says he feels nothing, when he's been searching for her for sixteen years and she's right in front of him now lol my heart

aside from that, doppar's acting has been impressive. his eyes are so expressive and i can't wait till we get into the thick of it all so i can see him act more. admittedly i've only watched him in pure love, and he didn't stick out that much to me (but i'm a kim sohyun stan so there's that), but i really like what i see of him here. his cold and reserved demeanor feels so natural (lol), but i can't wait to see his heart unfold and have all the soft happiness return when he realizes who hong shim is. i also never watched any of the trailers going into the show so i had 0 expectations. but i'm really enjoying it so far. what are your thoughts anon :-)
