i posted a few pages ago about how i prefer soft, mochi chanyeol to the abs and the arms and all that. i think he's cute with a little belly and round cheeks and i hate how hypersexualized and obsessed with kpop fans get about bodies period. a lot of anons said that they prefer pcy fit because of his confidence and that sort of still didn't sit right with me because i wish he didn't have to adhere to a certain set of shallow standards to have good body image.

But. today i saw these pictures of him at the airport wearing a tight black shirt and i realized i can't remember when i saw him wear one of those comically large baggy shirts that are like two sizes too big for him and i kind of got it finally? i guess i'm just glad he seems to be more happy and comfortable in his own skin and that there's no reason to feel negatively when he seems to be really healthy right now and now i feel dumb.

i get where you're coming from tbh. i started liking him back when he was quite thin and it is a little jarring to see how he looks now haha

tbh all of the members have different standards for what they want to look like. i think people project some of their worries for idols like bbh who are constantly talking about their weight and are clearly a little insecure about the way they look onto every idol. when bbh had abs he got there in an unhealthy way but i don't think that's true for chanyeol or even suho or kai who all seem like they take pride in their bodies and in working out

pcy has always been very proud of being fit. while it might be a little vain i like that he likes the way he looks! i just want all of the members to be comfortable with their own bodies

and i think it's fine for you to prefer him a little softer! lots of people like it when members like kyungsoo or minseok are a little chubby so it's not wrong if you like chanyeol that way just as long as you acknowledge that he likes himself now

da bbh never said he stopped eating, he said he had to cut down carbs and start eating chicken breast every day and that at the end he disliked that (understandable, everyone would). also, he is not the only one that has talked about increasing his protein intake, the members have also talked about how pcy and suho do the same... if they go to the same gym they might as well have the same trainers and all.

so in conclusion, fans take their words out of context to fit their narrative that they are always miserable.

and i wasn't saying that he shouldn't have felt comfortable, i understand that that's not a life he wanted (because he said it himself, he loves food too much! he is a taurus and i relate). i'm saying that fans have no idea how some diets work, they aren't just meant to starve people, there are different kinds of diets and people who follow a diet with an specific goal should make some changes in the way they eat, and that doesn't means they aren't getting their nutrients and energy, they are just getting them from different foods and suplements.
