ok but you're twisting the context and it's a little manipulation-y, no offense. of course exo fans care about the exo brand because they're exo fans... and of course they care about kaibaek as separate people. what they don't care about is sm's complete disregard or lack of basic things fans have asked for years but instead are expected to shell out money for this last ditch desperation on sm's part to break into the us market. fans don't just do the extra shit we do for fun, we do it to show sm there's interest for exo especially in other markets and instead this feels like a slap in the face. but if you want to mindlessly just keep rewarding them for the awful cash grabs they use you and exo members for then that's fine, but don't guilt people who aren't okay with it into feeling like they have to

definitely not a company stan, but as i see it both sides are just as bad as each other. "if you support this you're only supporting sm's money grabbing ways" vs "if you don't support this all of kaibaek's hard work will be for nothing". both have pros and cons, but most of all, a lot of hypocrites

sure okay, fair enough. there's a gray area it doesn't have to be so extreme but honestly i've been a kpop fan for 10+ years and have put up with a lot of marketing schemes and other things to support my faves and get content i want and out of everything this feels like the most i've ever been taken advantage of as a fan lol. at the end of the day we're all customers and if we don't like something we should be allowed to be vocal about it and like anons keep saying, if people want to support it still of course that's fine too. i just think it's important to also be aware exactly what this is
