have you watched the latest video? it shows a clip of him and mq filmed last may before they launched the channel talking about it and then recent footage of pcy opening up about it now and he said how after their first upload got so much criticism he decided to rethink the channel and just do whatever he wanted and kfans are saying stuff now like how he'd have more subscribers if the channel content was different or if it was just him and not mq. and like that's obviously okay if the content isn't something someone is interested in but this channel is pcy's space to do whatever and being so demanding that it isn't exactly what the fans want to see is just entitlement at this point? we always complain about how we wanted the members to have more freedom and here pcy is doing something he feels freedom in doing and this is how some fans are responding

pcy should be allowed to post whatever he wants even tho the content might not be be cup of tea of a lot fans

and fans are allowed to express how they aren't going to consume something they don't want to see either (specially after pcy expressed that thing about expecting more followers)

i don't think he did that to guilt fans though, i think he said that to compare how his expectations and plans for the channel have changed over the past year. i'm not defensive because fans don't like the content of the channel, i think the way a lot of fans are expressing that dislike is going too far? i'm not interested in everything every member does either and that's okay!

i think this is a bigger problem in fandom than just pcy's channel tho, now that they're starting to go off on their own and explore their own creativity and projects i've noticed so many fans being ott and entitled about the things they don't like. even look at bbh's new album for example, i saw so many complaints and jokes about the design of the album and teasers and it's like oppars definitely have more control over their own solos so if bbh wasn't happy with that design it wouldn't look that way? expressing opinions is different than the fans creating their own logos and designs and being all like "i fixed it" you know?

da/ayrt above: your point about entitlement reminded me of that outcry against the what a life mv. fans constantly argue they make these demands because they're "protecting" idols when in reality they're just pushing them own beliefs onto them tbh (ditto with osh and monsieur)

i get being critical of mq's behavior but you can't tell me that's all there is to this when fans have always tried to force their way in this fandom, this is all indicative of a pervasive issue that is part of idol-fan culture. i'm glad pcy is starting to chip away at that in his own even if idc for mq bc it's so easy for that to pigeonhole him as an artist tbh

also lol there were so many people who "fixed" bbh's album logo and just made it uglier 😭

i also don't think he said it to guilt trip them but he took it for granted that they were gonna get those much followers and he realized now that is not always like that. it's ok.

i do think fans feel entitled to a lot of things about them in different degrees but i also think they realized they don't have to carter to their interests all the time.

tbh i think even between fans, they feel like they are entitled to dictate how people should act as well (the whole u are not a real fan if___)
