"Fine," Baekhyun says, tugging at his robes, "but you'll have to help me find Kyungsoo's owl."

There are basic rules to being a Gryffindor. You don't say quit. You don't back down. You wear your house scarf to the games and you'll like it. You don't talk shit behind McGonagall's back. You keep tally of how many spitballs you manage to land on Snape's hems.
You don't speak Parseltongue.
Or, if you're Byun Baekhyun, you don't speak Parseltongue when anyone but your best friends can hear you.
"I found this thing in the second floor girl's lavatory," Baekhyun whispers, so excited his words are almost a hiss, and Kyungsoo asks him, aghast, "What were you doing in the girl's lavatory?" and Chanyeol grins and says, "Let's go," and they do, and the rest, well, you can read about it in Hogwarts: An Updated History.
