the first time i was willing to excuse it because maybe it was his shoes, the floor, a mistake, etc. but he's attempted ballet like 4 times now and it's getting progressively worse

yeah and the more he tries it the more obvious it becomes that he doesn't know wtf he's doing. most skills pushed by sm are lies/exaggerations but he doesn't need to keep trying to pretend it's true

i've been trying to figure this out lol, if he started training w/ sme when he was 13 does that mean he stopped ballet-ing after that time? just because he trained for it when he was young and it was foundational to his dance skills doesn't mean he's going to retain anything if he stopped practicing regularly, esp. if it was before his growth spurt and if he focused on kpop style dancing for a long time afterwards

tao's wushu isn't tragic though. he may not be the best and he makes mistakes but he's actually capable of doing a routine. kai can't do simple pirouettes. i wonder if he ever did more than just one ballet class because there's no excuse for his shitty ballet if he ever did it seriously. it's probably just something that sm hyped about him that isn't true

pirouettes are like basic ballet 101. i haven't done ballet in almost 15 years and his pirouettes are possibly even worse than mine. he is really really really bad at ballet
