the problem is that the cultural norms are different enough that foreigners violate them more often than not

but then it's not that had, because if you're going through a program, or learned mando in school, or even read a few articles, it isn't that hard to find out what's polite & what isn't polite

a lot of the times it's small things that aren't even always said though? i find those things a lot more jarring. obviously if i see you and you're white or black or whatever i'm going to be understanding but inside i'm still a little ticked
