on a rainy day, minseok always has an umbrella to share with lu han. on a rainy day, without minseok by his side, his boyfriend never forgets to tell him to take an umbrella with him, "you know, your hero won't be by your side today;" he winks and lu han feels as if it's their first day together again.

"lu han, please, i just cleaned the whole apartment," minseok stares him down until he undresses in the hallway, clothes dirty from helping yixing on the field earlier. fortunately, none of the neighbors came out of their apartments to see this. minseok touches his left cheek, kisses him on the right and then goes back to the kitchen where he's been cooking one of his favorite dishes. "the floors might still be slippery, so please watch out, babe!" and at dinner, he gets sauce kissed away right from under his lower lip. he admits that he does it on purpose sometimes and by the looks of minseok's face, he knows he's not the only one who knows.

he hurts himself while trying to put up the shelf they bought earlier the day. minseok immediately puts the hammer down and gets the first aid kit, "are you okay?" he asks, and really, it's only a tiny injury, nothing serious but he feels all warm knowing minseok is worried. "hey! i am not a baby!" he tries to pull his hands away, without much effort to be honest, but they get pulled back even harder. they both laugh as their heads bump together. "i think my head needs tending, too. maybe a kiss..." minseok pretends to roll be annoyed but indulges him like the awesome boyfriend he is.


lu han has had doubts about all of his relationships and the doubt is justified, he thinks. a lot of people who were important to him have left him and disappointed him and made him lose all hope. yes, he has his doubts, even about his relationship with minseok, but then he proves him that love is real, their love is real, and they will always be together.

it's the little things that count.
