yeah that's rly nice u__u i mean i work in a big box store so i don't get a lot of personal interaction with people like that but i love the people who genuinely ask me about my day and the people who actually talk to me or treat me like i'm their equal

but then the rude people, the couponers who force my hand and walk all over me because our store lets them. the people who try to scam us. the people who don't even fucking talk to you when you say "hi how are you doing?" or the people who get mad over $0.50 are so much worse than any nice person is nice

i work at a department store so sometimes i don't get to interact with customers much if the line is long, but when it's slower in the mornings i get more of a chance to talk and it's kinda nice? to have those chats with strangers just bc of how they can light up

tbh at my work we get scammed daily bc we except expired dollar off amounts (no matter how long ago it expired) and percentage offs if it's a day or two after, but thankfully that's ending soon and i'm just gonna have to deal with the people that get pissed when u tell them no. i rly dnt like the people that won't even look at you when u talk to them tho u_u like i'm not part of the scenery here and i can't read your mind. dont tell me something is wrong until you're already signing at the pinpad and i can't go back and undo it

oh man at our store you can literally get away with aNYTHING because we're all about guest experience and it's infuriating but i have to remind myself that it doesn't affect me, if they want to lose that money it's on them.

people assuming you know exactly what they want when they don't say anything is the fucking worst. my coworker got a complaint the other day because someone brought something up to her, asked why one doll was on clearance and not the other. she answered, and said "is there anything else?" and they left and then called the store complaining. YOU NEVER SAID WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS? sry for shouting lmao

that's how our store currently is but it's costing the company money because people would hoard these dollar off coupons (they're stackable) and use them to buy big ticket items so something that, with a non-expired coupon, would be like $190 instead of $200, ends up being sold for free.

omg clearance is the bane of my existence. we re price items with stickers to let them know the clearance price and some people try to put those stickers onto other items but a, the starting prices don't even match up b, u covered the fucking barcode??? and c, we just got this one in and it's not even discounted rn. like??? when you have more than 2 items like that it's not a fucking coincidence and i'm not gonna let u get an $80 jacket for 8 bucks unless u talk to my manager

i had someone scam me with switched clearance tags recently. and like i knew what was up but i let her do it anyway because we couldn't prove anything and our lp guy wasn't there but they got her on camera thankfully.
