my country is in the middle of election, like ukraine did a couple months earlier, and twitter has been abuzzed with the conspiracy theory that us/china trying to intervene and make a balkan situation here

not saying that ww 3 is going to happen, but us-russia have been against each other regarding to ukraine so the waryness of some people is not exactly unfounded imo

anyway the reason i believe that nuclear war is nearly always a possibility is bc imo some governments are pretty trigger happy and would use any excuse they think the public will believe to start some serious shit, so it's less about this happening rn, and more about a lot of things happening and creating the kinda atmosphere that allows for warfare
