it depends on who you plan to bid for? i know some of the writers who are auctioning and they can churn out your fic in just 1 day so

mods have been checking up with anyone who says their winning bid was abandoned, so I wouldn't worry too much

if you really want to and something like that happens, report back to the mods they've mentioned that they can't check on everyone since some bidders have private agreements abt their auctions and the fics/arts are not available publicly so they really don't know bidders are not getting their stuff if ppl don't step up and tell them
