anons i've never bought any kpop merch online which site is better to order from yesasia or kpoptown?

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
i've only used kpoptown but never had any problems with them

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
sa i've only bought albums/posters however so i can't vouch for anything else

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
yesasia is a bit more expensive but they're extremely reputable. i've had issues with kpoptown in the past. their communication is kinda meh.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
da i agree i accidentally cheated them but my situation was kinda difficult

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
i used kpoptown but they got more expensive and now i order from kpopmart, i never used yesasia because it's even more expensive than kpoptown and i already feel guilty for buying this stuff

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
sa never had a problem

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
why guilty?

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
kpopmart seems to be more expensive than kpoptown tho? how's kpopmarts communication? i'll pay more for better service

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
i've had some bad experiences w/kpoptown's shipping (the items eventually arrived), yesasia costs more but i haven't had problems w/their shipping

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
i don't know if shipping is completely kpoptown's fault since once the package leaves it's up to the courier to get it to you.

i will say that i've also had issues with their shipping and while it was the post's fault(it was stuck in customs), they weren't very helpful and sometimes took days to respond to emails.

yesasia costs more, but imo they have some of the worst service out of all the site, in particularly yesstyle

do they give tracking number for the parcel? and also when you buy cd from yesasia do you get poster with them as well even though it doesn't say anything on the page?

Re: ^

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
da i believe the cheapest shipping from kpt does not give you a tracking number

Re: ^

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
for any of the korean sellers, the cheapest option usually doesnt include tracking. sometimes tracking is $3-5 more.

also iirc yesasia does not include posters with albums.

if you want to get the most out of your orders, go to reputable ebay sellers. just look for the ones who sold a lot already and good scores. their prices are competitive too. they live for positive feedback

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
both are fine. yesasia's prices are always pretty bloated. kpoptown can be a little slow if you're doing a preorder of a popular item (it took forever to get my overdose albums u____u). dvdheaven's also a decent option (they changed their name but i can't remember what it is -- it'll come up if you go to dvdheaven.com though).

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
my first box dvd set kept getting pushed back, which while not their fault, they could have sent an email telling me that it was pushed back and i would have been in the third wave of shipments. i also preordered it and didn't receive my socks but i'm meh about that

dvdheaven is now ktown4u iirc. they seem to be on par if not cheaper than kpoptown. i just wonder if they still overcharge for shipping.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
u__u i'm pre ordering their pb how long did it take them to send the stuff?

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
it took them 11 days to ship out. like i said, that wasn't necessarily their fault but the communication could have been better.

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
da ktown4u/dvdheaven has reaaaally expensive shipping. i once ordered items from there and my shipping alone was 1/3 of the cost :(

i like buying from yesasia bc it's the most convenient for me but it's expensive. i used to buy pbs from kpoptown and their shipping is cheaper and has options which is good for heavy items. choose which one works best for you, it depends per country

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
sa but if i could, i'd rather buy from ebay than these 2. i like the way ebayers pack their goods (sometimes with freebies too). just the thought ebayers does extras to make you order again. yesasia packs with cheap (but reusable) bubblewrap

(Anonymous) 2014-08-17 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
i like buying from yesasia bc eventhough the prices are rly high, the shipping is extremely reliable and if purchasing over a certain amount the shipping is free, they're also fast with dealing with issues with the products shipped. i once ordered shinee's concert dvd but inside was sj's dvd instead so they resend the real one and now i got the sj one free lol

but yesasia albums don't come with posters unless you pick the option that includes poster in te set and it's usually much more expensive

^^
