lol i major in mass communication & broadcasting, i wonder what of job could i get after i graduate... i guess nowadays nothing that will pay my bills :( television & radio & newspapers are basically dying and working on the internet is a shady thing
i was gonna guess north korea but then i realized north korea doesn't even have internet ; ; that sucks tho, maybe you can work in advertising? that field needs the touch of tv/broadcasting so maybe you can find a place there?
i'm in artschool :I but i refuse to become an artist bec i can't live like that; applying for state funds, try to sell some stuff, live off practically nothing...
so instead i'm gonna take creative writing classes and try to be an author. lol. :I
i'm a mass communications graduate too! don't give up hope, anon. there are a lot of jobs you could get as a masscom grad. although i'm in grad school now, i screen-tested for field reporter (got accepted to the 2nd screentest but by that time i was already in grad school /o\) and also was offered a job as a video producer in agence france press.
if tv isn't your thing, try magazines! usually they'd offer positions like staff writer or editorial assistant to new grads. it's not so bad if you like attending presscons and going to places, and it's a good way to start climbing up the ladder in the magazine publishing industry.
and how about advertising or public relations? a lot of my batchmates work for PR firms now and they got in straight out of college. just try your luck and i'm sure you'll find something :D
ty for your advice! i was actually thinking of tv, but in my nugu country it's really losing its relevance. so maybe magazines. tbh i'm planning to go to grad school too /o\ but i'm afraid i'll fall into this 'overeducated' catergory lmao when you can't get a job just because you have a master's degree and gotta do research for the rest of your life (freaking hate research).
