kyungsoo is a textbook case of a childhood filled with abuse and neglect. since he was 3 years old he learned from his father not to cross him unless he wanted to get a good belt beating. his mother had left him when he was 7, tired of the abuse of her husband and too lost in her own suffering to care for her own child.

other children mocked him in school. he didn't have friends.

kyungsoo spent most of his childhood afraid of other people and afraid for his life.


fear leads to anger


kyungsoo got tired of being afraid. instead, he grew angry. angry at his mother for leaving him and not chancing to take him with her to a better life, angry at his father for physically abusing him, angry at his schoolmates for treating him as less than garbage and angry for his teachers for not stepping in. angry at others for turning a blind eye at how much he was in pain throughout his life.

kyungsoo was angry at the gods for allowing him to be born


anger leads to hate


kyungsoo hates people now. hates how selfish and self-centered they are. they don't care about others, they only pretend to. kyungsoo hates himself for being weak too, for not defending himself when he could. for allowing himself to take the scorn and the beating.

kyungsoo hates so much that's all he knows how to feel.


hate leads to suffering


kyungsoo leads a better life now. he started with his father and a chainsaw. it was messy because he was a beginner then but he has gotten a lot better now. after kyungsoo's father disappeared he was entrusted to his uncle and his spouse by the child services. they treated kyungsoo really well. thanks to them kyungsoo got into a nice college and got a fancy degree.

kyungsoo took care of his former classmates and a teacher later, after became a functional adult with a job. then came all the people who were rude and mistreated him: the cashier at the supermarket, the homeless that pestered him for money, the mom with the nasty kid.
