aw :( things like that happen sometimes anon. there will always be people more talented than ourselves and sometimes they just happen to go for the same ideas. maybe try to steer the plot into another direction so that you won't be comparing it to that fic all the time? i'm sure yours have qualities of it's own, so don't give up :) if nothing else, you could learn something from determining what it is about this fic that makes it better?

idk, it's more like we were exploring the same ideas (it was a character study fic), but that fic manages to do it right and do it in a more complex manner. nothing i can do by fixing the ending or the progression of the plot. ig i'll concentrate on my other wips. my writerly kokoro is too broken atm to learn something from this fic lol.
