if you're interested in the short and british aspect then i'd highly recommend luther. if you're interested in the sherlock holmes aspect then elementary is good

elementary takes a few episodes to get good and it's not as "smart" as sherlock is but it's a much more enjoyable show to watch. there's a lot of diverse and interesting characters and i really love how much depth they give to the women in the show
