straight anons, i know how you guys think you're being supportive in trying to advocate for more idols coming out of the closet and more acceptance of the gay community in general
but until you understand this mixture of self-loathing, ostracizing, and the fear of repercussions, i don't think you can simply say: have the courage! you can do it!
it's a very western mindset to have, but in some parts of the world, homosexuality is still viewed as a disease.
there's so much more to it, coming out and it's repercussions are immense and i can't imagine the amount of pressure it would be for an idol who's career basically sits on their image.

i can see how it's easy to say that more queer celebs should come out but come on, just think for a minute about how reality is.
