i really want my oppar to be recognized, i think he has immense talent and i can see that his passion is singing so much that he goes out of his way to take any chance available but sometimes i feel pessimistic because his career and recognition feel like they're at a snails pace

i don't have feelings either way for nct other than the hope that they don't take opgers' promotion budget, but i feel a little bad for that taeyong kid. i have rarely met a 13-15 year old who wasn't a little shit and i work with a few of them, and it's been like 6-8 years since he pulled that shit right? the reason we even have juvie courts is because kids/teens are still developing proper judgement skills/impulse control, literally at a biological level even, at that time. while there are certain crimes that are unexcusable, scamming over gundam toys and then using the same insults even adults playing starcraft/league of legends spit out on a regular basis when confronted seems more an indicator that he was just a little shit at 13-15 years old who probably did need proper punishment then, rather than that he's an irredeemable person 6-8 years later. it doesn't get to be wiped away, he doesn't get to have a completely clean slate. but idt it's something that he should be nailed to a stake for, years later

i feel like that about a lot of old scandals and old mistakes honestly, barring duis or death cases. it's like how people are fixated on 2012 mama hc or the idea that baekyeol are assholes, people seem to think that idols are static and that the only growth they undergo over time is better singing, better dancing, or better styling when they could've learned from their mistakes on a more private level. of course there's the argument that they could have just stayed the same and we wouldn't know either way but that's... more pessimistic than it is realistic and reeks of call-out culture just so people feel better about themselves for stanning proxies of projected perfection instead

i wish knetz would quit using suho to justify disliking the unpopular member of the moment. he's a lovely guy but putting him on a pedestal helps no one and he most likely gets along just fine with said members no matter what the current beef with said member is

on the other hand, i know it's not much to worry about because once it gets to the point of using other opgers to make the targeted opger look bad, the fanbase will compensate with #weloveyou[insertname] or something and things will go back to normal-ish

i want exo to be successful individually and i'm actually more invested in their individual futures than the group. ideally we get both indiv and group success feeding into each other like smap or arashi giving them long running success as a group but that seems really difficult to achieve. i can unstan/uninvest in them in peace when either one happen

i wish sm would just admit m is gone now and xiuchen use their names instead of chinese stage names. that would help them establish a more solid korean public recognition with k as the 8 korean members of exo. and just tell fans that lay will focus in china so don't get so butthurt when they don't see his name on some endorsements or in japan. geger is doing well on his own anyway
